This collection is curated specifically for coastal and inland gardens north of Boston. However these plants will thrive in gardens throughout all of eastern Massachusetts, including Metrowest, Greater Boston, the South Shore and Cape Cod, as well as communities just east of Worcester.

These seeds are the work of grassroots citizen scientists and environmental activists who believe in preserving local ecotypic varieties of native plants. None of the seeds in this collection were genetically tested to confirm their local ecotype status, therefore they are identified as seeds collected ethically and with permission from plants growing wild or as volunteers in Essex County.

Notably the seed plots referenced on these labels were planted and tended concurrent to the efforts of conservationists, ecologists, botanists, and farmers who developed a standard for generating restoration-quality native seed.
