Our Team

Our staff bring a diversity of perspectives, experiences, and skills to our offerings. From tending residential gardens, to raising seed crops, to distributing locally produced garden resources and goods, our staff all work together on creating what Cape Ann Gardens is to its clientele, peers, and community.

  • Camden M.

    ASSOCIATE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

With a robust career in golf as both coach and professional athlete and a formal education in business and sports management, Camden tends the Garden Crew like the athletes they are. She supports health and wellness in extreme conditions, increases efficiencies across the team, builds communication skills, and supports overall logistics of our landcare practices like a champ.

  • Maarit O.

    ASSOCIATE FIELD DIRECTOR

Maarit oversees product development, our seed operation, and assists with administrative tasks and special projects. With a background in dairy and cheese production and affinity for both organic gardening and local farming, Maarit brings the spirit and understanding of land-based work rooted in the organic movement.

Here she is pictured with her pup, Pippin.

  • Haley H.

    FINE GARDENER

Haley brings a superior familiarity with plants and an acuity for detail-oriented work like weeding. She has an educational background in biology and a robust work history in laboratory settings.

  • Hanna A.

    FINE GARDENER

Hanna implements organic land care plans with the crew. When not working with Cape Ann Gardens, she can be spotted behind the wheel of a massive dump truck, working in even more gardens, or tromping through the woods.

Here she is pictured on a walk with her beloved dog, not seen in the frame.

  • Anne H.

    FINE GARDENER & DESIGN SPECIALIST

Anne developed her green thumb working in her family’s garden, a 3 acre treasure tucked into the rock faces of Cape Ann’s misty coast. Anne brings years of design training, success as a fine artist, and experience as a florist to her work assembling plants for containers and special projects.

A true Jane of all trades, Anne mountain bikes, rock hounds, designs websites, and digs in the dirt in addition to painting her heart out.

  • Liam T.

    ASSISTANT MARKET GARDENER

Liam began working as the Assistant Market Grower early in the 2024 season. He tends the two market plots where Cape Ann Gardens produces seeds and a variety of specialty goods, including cut flowers, dried calendula, and inoculated salt marsh hay.

Liam attends high school in Beverly. Here he is seen with the broad fork, a tool that he’s been using constantly all spring.

  • Adam D.

    WILD SAUCE SPECIALIST

Adam is a skilled grower, microbe cultivator, and soil health enthusiast. He works with the landcare maintenance team and works with the Associate Field Director on Wild Sauce* production.

    * Wild Sauce is our name for the soil inoculants and amendments that we produce in-house to nurture and build microbial life in the soil.

  • Sophia J.

    FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Sophia formed this company in 2021 and acquired her Accreditation as an Organic Landcare Professional with the Northeast Organic Farming Association in 2023. She's passionate about integrating seeds into garden care processes, and engaging with plants throughout their entire lifecycle from seed to compost and seed, again.

Sophia currently manages all the services, projects, strategic partnerships, and operations.
