what we do
Cape Ann Gardens provides landcare, property management, and design services to clients throughout Massachusetts’ North Shore, and occasionally beyond.
We specialize in supporting plants to thrive in Atlantic coastal forests and maritime scrublands. We have particular expertise growing plants on rocky outcroppings and in clay-laden soil, building plant communities to manage garden pests, and developing closed-system landcare plans that utilize organic matter already present on the property.
how we do it
As a woman-owned, full-service ecological fine gardening company, we prioritize native flora, utilize untreated naturally occurring organic materials whenever possible, and pay aesthetic homage to the incredible history of cultivated gardening throughout North America and Europe.
We adhere to the Standards for Organic Land Care as they are defined by the Northeast Organic Farming Association; pay employees a living wage and customize employment to maximize personal work satisfaction and retention;
